Spend a day in the bush, close to nature in rugged surroundings, close to crocodiles, brolgas, jabiru and magpie geese. Feel the haunting heartbeat of this untamed landscape, and all in the company of the company of the local undertaker on a tour you'll never do with anyone else!
So you think this is a dead end tour? We promise you it wont be!
Come and join us on a big day out in the Kimberley!
After cruising down to morning tea by boat on the Lower Ord River, you'll spend a long day exploring an old cattle track between Kununurra and Wyndham. Opening and closing gates along the way, you'll explore most of Parry's Creek floodplain, where you'll more often than not meet and greet crocodiles, brolgas, magpie geese, and many other local residents. The stunning scenery of Telegraph Hill will prepare you for your blazing entry into Wyndham, where you can ponder the legacy of Kimberley pioneering by visiting the Gully, Afghan and Pioneer Cemeteries, before concluding your history lesson at the Wyndham Museum.
From there its home to the funeral parlour where you can relax in the pool and sit down to a delightful Kimberley dinner, on a wide verandah overlooking secluded bush with the sun setting! If all that adventure hasn't spooked you too much you can either snuggle up in our very comfortable queen bedroom or roll out a swag for a Kimberley camp in comfort - or of course, we'll also run you back to your pick-up point in Kununurra.
Our tour is all about feeling the Kimberley, and to ensure this, we limit our numbers to five people only, so it's very intimate and the cost includes all cruise activities, museum fees, meals and drinks.
The tour runs every day subject to availability and weather permitting and you can even stopover with us in our funeral home - if you're not too scared by the thought of such a spooky night out.
You'll enjoy all the comforts the dead would kill for; like foxtel, a three star bed in a room with french doors that open onto a beautiful Kimberley garden. Great food. Fantastic company and an opportunity to keep the conversations about what you did on your Kimberley adventure going for years after you return home!
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
