Tamborine Mountain Scarecrow Festival

The Tamborine Mountain Scarecrow Festival requires the artful building, by the local population, of around 300 scarecrows representing historical figures from the area (Q150) and Business themes and locals. The scarecrows are displayed on a 14 kilometre signed route around the mountain. Plus visitors get to see most wonderful scenery, rain forests, parks, art galleries, restaurants, wineries all on the route.

Saturday a festival atmosphere is created in Main Street, North Tamborine, with dancers, buskers, street performers, musicians and community spirit. On Sunday the festivities relocate to Long Road, Eagle Heights, at “Gallery Walk”, the iconic tourist centre for the mountain.

Great food, local wines and festival specials will be everywhere, plus the fun of counting the number of scarecrows! Make sure to book accommodation early as everyone wants to come and party the night away on beautiful Tamborine Mountain – The “Green behind the Gold”.. www.tamborinemountainscarecrowfestival.com.au
