Day 1 of the June Racing carnival sees the running of the Vernons Golden Topaz stakes. This premier country sprint worth AUD75,000 in 2009 sees a top field of sprinters fighting out the finish for the Golden Topaz.
The other feature is the Elvstroem Classic. A race for 2yos, in honour of both Elvstroem and Haradasun who both started their careers in winning style at Swan Hill over past years during the June racing carnival. The race worth AUD30,000 is sure to see the career kick off of future champions in years to come.. www.countryracing.com.au
