The Coal and Allied Singleton Art Prize is a major annual event on the cultural calendar of Singleton with a prize pool of over AUD15,250. On average 600 works are hung and all are for sale. The 2013 Goldfields Cyclassic is billed as "The Richest Handicap Cycle Race in Australia".The two-stage cycle race across the Western Australian Goldfields starts from Kalgoorlie-Boulder and heads north to Menzies (132 kilometres). Stage two leaves Menzies and heads on to Leonora the following day. Riders will be racing across some of the country's richest, historic landscapes the Western Australian Goldfields.
