Cosy up in the Blue Mountains
Ambleside, Malvern Rd, Leura, Blue Mountains, NSW
Ambleside is a delightful little cottage set amongst a well groomed and sunny garden in Leura. Arriving at the cottage with a wood fire already set and burning and information packs aplenty, not to mention the host’s great local briefing, we felt it was just what we needed for our weekend getaway in the Blue Mountains.
Within close proximity to a variety of bushwalks, we chose to walk from the Solitary Restaurant to Echo Point along the clifftops and return along the Dardanelles pass, a 3 hour walk all in all. The sun was still on the garden when we returned, but we chose pre-dinner drinks inside in front of the log fire. A great place to curl up with a book, for a game of cards or a chat.
Overall rating: Excellent, with Outstanding cleanliness.
