The Waverley House Cottages are an accredited tourism business, have been awarded 4.5 stars and recently won the 2007 Gippsland Tourism Award for Hosted Accommodation. These awards are testament to the expertise and involvement of hosts Robin & Jan Davis, who live on site and have the blood of five generations of fishing and hospitality involvement running in their veins, which no doubt explains their passion for the region. In fact the name of the cottages harks back to a guesthouse owned by Rob’s grandparents in the early 20th century

A short walk over the footbridge takes you to spectacular 90 Mile Beach and the lakes have every type of maritime entertainment you could wish for, including cruises, kayaks and boats and you can either take the helm yourself, or sit back and let someone else do the hard work. You can even visit a nearby winery by boat.
Lakes Entrance is also well-known for its array of restaurants and the Waverley House Cottages are only a 2 minute drive from these gustatory delights. The area is home to one of the largest fishing fleets in the Southern Hemisphere and the local restaurants make good use of their access to the fresh catch. Try to fit in a round of golf or spoil yourself with a scenic flight that gives you a bird’s-eye view of the unequalled waterways and forests.
And at the end of the day, return to one your welcoming cottages and relax on the verandah with a glass of something cold, and plan your activities for the next day as you contemplate the natural beauty that is Lakes Entrance.
