Editor's Choice - Fernmark Inn

Fernmark Inn is unique in the Bega Valley.  Feel instantly at home as young, welcoming hosts inspire you with their passion for modern rural living on 90 acres of glorious bush. Hallie and Corinne moved from overseas in Autumn 2000. The idea for their B&B has been in their dreams and thoughts for more than 4 years, first as they sat in a beautiful restaurant overlooking the sea on the island of Lamu, Kenya.

As they both love travelling, they designed the Fernmark Inn with 4 exotically modelled theme rooms from different places in the world they experienced.

Each deluxe room has its own ensuite and a private terrace.

The Middle East room has a beautiful domed ceiling and curved edges to represent the feeling of the domed rooms in the Sinai desert on the edge of the Red Sea. The colour scheme is in blues and whites and the floor is painted the colour of sand. This room is wheelchair accessible and is fitted with a queen-size bed, ensuite bathroom and private terrace with ramp.

The Thai room is designed in bamboo and hessian and includes Thai silk wall hangings, handmade leadlight and pottery sink and tiles designed by a local artist. The feel is intended to be that of a bamboo bungalow. Colours are purple and green. This room contains a queen-size bed, ensuite bathroom and private terrace.

The India room is designed to have the feel of a Maharaja’s guest room decorated with Indian silk sari material, Indian tiles and artefacts. Colours are gold and fuscia. This room incorporates a queen-size bed, ensuite bathroom and private terrace.

The Africa room is designed with the feel of a mud hut.  Furniture is designed with old fence posts and decking. Terracotta and mud colours feature here. King-size bed, ensuite bathroom and private terrace.

Also there is a new self-contained Ocean Studio – dog and child-friendly (sleeps 2 adults and 1 child).

You can choose where your fancy takes you!!

Conference space is available for hire for 10-20 persons. Located halfway between Melbourne and Sydney, and close to Canberra, it's the perfect place to relax, explore, or meet up with friends!

Fernmark Inn also includes a lounge area with tea and coffee facilities as well as a quieter library for reading or writing.  Afternoon tea is served daily.

Have fun over fantastic meals prepared from home and locally grown ingredients. Your hosts both enjoy cooking so savour fantastic meals prepared from predominantly organic ingredients.

Indulge in daily in-house treats or relax with a book from the library. Take advantage of Fernmark Inn’s energizing natural health treatments - including Reflexology, Reiki, Bowen and Massage. You'll be pampered at Fernmark Inn!!

Explore Fernmark Inn’s surrounds - lush bush gullies, local lakes and waterfalls and soak in the sights, scents and sounds that only the bush can give you.  The area is gorgeous – surrounded by national parks and 35 minutes to the ocean. Tailor-made packages on request that include dinners, health treatments, canoeing, bike riding, diving, and horse riding.
