Durras Lake Road
South Durras NSW

Lakesea Park is in a wonderful location, as the name implies, between the pristine beach and Lake Durras.

Overall rating?       Outstanding

What makes Lakesea Park different?
The wonderful bush surroundings and the benefit of both lake and sea frontage are the standout features of this holiday park. Lakesea Park is serene and the plentiful wildlife is a bonus.

Accommodation overview
Our Seaside Cabin had ramped access, although the entrance and interior is not really made for disabled access. While the cabin is roomy, there are no grab rails or wheelchair facilities.

The cabin was clean, modern and well appointed, with three bedrooms. Two bedrooms have queen-size beds and an ensuite each and the third bedroom has a double bunk and a single bed. There is plenty of shelf space, large mirrors (low enough to be useful for those in wheelchairs) and good natural light. One bedroom has a TV and there is a TV/DVD in the lounge area, which is air-conditioned. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, cooktop and microwave, so it is easy to self-cater.

Facilities overview
Lakesea Park has plenty of facilities and things to do in abundance, including a tennis court, half-size basketball court, kiosk, laundry, playground, camp kitchen, games room, computer room with internet access, canoes, bikes, BBQs, table tennis, badminton and volleyball.

Location
The location on the south coast of NSW is perfect – just over 3.5 hours from Sydney and only 2 hours from Canberra.

Suitable for children? Yes

Suitable for pets? No

Wheelchair access? Perhaps, check for your particular needs when enquiring

Perfect for?
Our cabin was ideal for families and Lakesea Park would be a great place for family reunions or groups of friends, as it can accommodate lots of people, yet there is plenty of privacy if you just want some time with your loved one.

Why stay longer?
I loved sitting on the expansive verandah, just reading, relaxing and watching the passing kangaroos, ducks and lorikeets. I also enjoyed riding my electric scooter around the area, as there is plenty of wildlife and beautiful views all around. This was a really relaxing break and a great escape from the stresses of everyday life.

Why you wouldn’t stay longer?
If you are looking for nightlife or lots of entertainment, then you may find things a little quiet.

Pricing
The Seaside Cabin is $170 per night low season, but the rates vary seasonally and there are often specials, so click on the 'More information' button below or check the listing for details.
