What makes Rabbit Flat different?
Rabbit Flat is a self-contained house located about 10 minutes drive from downtown Kangaroo Valley. It can accommodate up to 12 but is perfect for just two or a family. It is a well-designed, North-facing house with East and West outside decks. Oodles of outdoor space for the kids make this holiday house a great place to just kick-back and relax.
Accommodation overview
Rabbit Flat accommodates 12. There is one master bedroom with ensuite and an alcove area with single bed, the two other rooms each have two double and two single beds, (bunks with double on the bottom and single on the top). A portacot is also available for younger children.
The bedrooms are spacious and contemporary with ceiling fans to help keep you cool in the heat of summer (and closing the blinds against the afternoon sun is always a good idea too).
Facilities Overview
The living area is open plan with two living areas separated by the kitchen (perfect for some peace and quiet away from the kids). Fitted out for both seasons, the main living area has an air-conditioner as well as a wood fire.
The fully self-contained kitchen, laundry and bbq area make this property a good find for a weekend stay, and also for a week or two away. Located adjacent to a horse paddock, but on its own large block, there is plenty of room for outdoor games of cricket and soccer or even for kids to ride their bikes.
Location/How to Get there
Kangaroo Valley sometimes has a hard time deciding whether it’s located in the Southern Highlands, or in the South Coast. Either way you come it’s around 2.5 hours from both Sydney and Canberra.
Your visit would not be complete without stopping in Kangaroo Valley village along the way. It is a beautiful little township along the river, with a variety of café’s, a pub and knick-knack shops. There is canoeing on the river and a local golf course. Or you can easily make your way across Cambewarra Mountain (don’t forget to stop and take in the views) to the coast (don't forget to stop and take in the views), where there are more great things to eat and drink.
