Review - Daintree Views

Daintree, Far North Queensland

Daintree Views is a holiday retreat set in absolutely stunning, lush rainforest gardens. It is positioned up high to take in 180 degree views of the Daintree Valley.

The best thing about Daintree Views is “waking up every morning to the sounds of the birds in the rainforest and taking in the spectacular views”, says reviewer Ron Love.

Overall rating: Outstanding, with excellent facilities and helpful hosts.

What makes Daintree Views property different?
Daintree Views Rainforest Retreat is located on a 20 acre property, offering guests total seclusion. The lush rainforest setting is complete with an outside heated spa that looks out over the valley, and there is plenty of outdoor seating to have drinks and nibbles whilst watching the sunset or soaking up the stars at night.

A natural swimming hole fed from the mountain stream is located only 30 metres from the house and there are a number of local walking tracks with coastal views running from the property.

Accommodation overview
A three bedroom property, Daintree Views Rainforest Retreat is comprised of one queen room, one double with the third bedroom having a single bed and roll-out trundle. The accommodation is self-contained, with everything you’d expect plus board games, badminton, books and children’s DVDs.

The property is spotlessly clean and the attention to detail given to minor things such as clocks, radio’s, tissues and full-length mirrors is fantastic.

Unfortunately due to Daintree Views being in a World Heritage Listed area there are no pets allowed.

Facilities Overview

The spa was of course a highlight, along with the extra large covered deck with outdoor dining facilities allowing you to enjoy the best of the Daintree experience, living both inside and outside. The property is self-catering, but the operators can arrange provisions on request in advance.

Being centrally located to explore the region’s tourist attractions is definitely a benefit.

Daintree Views is non-smoking but ashtrays are provided for outside use.

How to Get there
Fly into Cairns International and domestic airport and get set for a peaceful and beautiful drive 2.5 hours north to Daintree on the way to Cape Tribulation.

30 minutes to major shopping centre, or 15 minutes to smaller convenience store, the important thing is that once you’re at Daintree Views, there’s no need to go elsewhere as there are walking tracks right from your door.

Daintree Views Rainforest Retreat is perfect as a base for exploring the World Heritage Listed Daintree region whether as a family, or taking time out for a romantic getaway.
