Noosa conjures up pictures of beautiful beaches, the river, great shopping and restaurants and gorgeous hinterland villages. In fact there is so much to do, how do you fit it all in? One answer could be to plan your next Noosa holiday on a houseboat! It is the ultimate in waterfront accommodation and will give you the flexibility to cruise the river, tie up and enjoy the many delights of Noosa and spend time truly relaxing and communing with nature.
Noosa Leisuretime Houseboats have two vessels to choose from, the Sea Venture or the Cruisecat. Both have upper deck steering stations (the Sea Venture has upper and lower helms), and offer resort-style accommodation and facilities. For those who don’t have mariner’s blood running in their veins, don’t worry. The houseboats are easy to drive, no boating licence is required and they come complete with charts and instructions before you set off on your own.
The Noosa River is ideal for houseboat novices as it has calm and tranquil waters and plenty to see and do. Cruise up river and experience the tranquil surrounds heading towards Lake Cootharaba. Down river you can enjoy the night lights along Gympie Terrace or take your tender ashore and enjoy a meal at the many fine restaurants Noosa has to offer.
Imagine slipping over the side to cool off in the pristine waters, or pulling up a crab pot and finding your dinner inside. While away the day fishing or just relaxing with a book and listening to the sounds of nature.
The Sea Venture is spacious and will comfortably accommodate 8–10 people.
It has a domestic-style bathroom with ample fresh water for showers and a huge undercover flybridge entertainment area with an outdoor setting. The spacious front and rear decks make it a perfect option for a family holiday with a difference.
The Cruisecat has a spacious interior and accommodates 5-7 people in comfort. This houseboat has a modern galley kitchen, marine-style bathroom (and an additional shower on the deck for rinsing after a swim), along with a large rear deck with outdoor table and seating. There is ladder access to the flybridge, which features wrap-around seating.
Both vessels have LCD TV, along with a DVD/CD player, large built-in ice boxes, gas BBQ, and are fully equipped with all kitchenware, linen and towels. The vessels are powered with environmentally friendly 4 stroke twin outboard motors and come complete with tenders and electric winches.
You may never have pictured yourself at the wheel of a houseboat, but Noosa Leisuretime Houseboats make it so easy, and there is so much to see and do on the Noosa River… swimming all year round, everglade tours, bush walking, kite surfing, water skiing… open your mind to the possibilities of an absolute waterfront holiday with a difference!
