Editor's Choice - Anchors Port Campbell
  • Anchors Port Campbell
  • Luxurious bedrooms
  • Designer kitchen
  • Relax and re-connect with nature
  • Privacy and luxury

The seaside town of Port Campbell is located on the scenic Great Ocean Road, between Warrnambool and Lavers Hill (just over 280 kilometres from Melbourne) and is a popular destination for holidaymakers taking the breathtaking coastal road.

Anchors Port Campbell has two units and offers quality self-contained accommodation for up to four people and is the perfect base for exploring the wonders of Victoria’s stunning Great Ocean Road. This luxurious and well-fitted property delivers comfort and privacy in one of the state’s most attractive locations.

Lord Street is the vibrant and tree-lined main street of Port Campbell and boasts cafes, restaurants and boutique shops to cater for the most discerning traveller. The steep rocky coastline and the pristine white beaches around Port Campbell offer a truly unforgettable vista while the Port Campbell Bay inlets provide swimming for the whole family.

A short drive from the charming town is the rocky (but broken) platform of London Bridge, the Loch Ard Gorge, Gibsons Steps and the most celebrated of all Great Ocean Road attractions, the Twelve Apostles. This remarkable icon, originally named "The Sow & Piglets" is a series of off-shore limestone stacks shaped by wind and sea erosion. In 2005 one of the nine monoliths collapsed, leaving just 8 standing.

Just 2 kilometres from the charming town centre, Anchors offers superbly designed villas nestled into the tranquil limestone hills above Port Campbell. Situated on thirty acres of private land, Anchors has two contemporary villas. Each villa features an elevated king-size bedroom, boasting luxurious king-size pillow-top beds with 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton linen. The open-plan living area has more indulgent features with a leather lounge, 42 inch LCD TV, DVD/VCR, a gas log fire, split system air-conditioning and iPod docking station.

This property has such attention to detail that you would expect the bathroom to be special and it is, with a luxurious spa bath that allows you to relax while still enjoying the view. The fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher, coffee machine and outdoor electric BBQ) completes the picture and offers everything you need to whip up a gourmet meal for you and your loved one.

Anchors Port Campbell offers superb accommodation in lovely and tranquil surrounds, yet still within easy reach of the highlights of the breathtaking Great Ocean Road. This property is a rare find and certainly deserves it place among the winners of the 2008 TakeABreak National Accommodation Awards.
