Pemberton Farm Chalets - best farmstay holiday accommodation

Pemberton Farm Chalets is a great farmstay experience for the whole family. Set on a 35 acre property bordered by the Gloucester National Park and the State Forest, the kids will love getting up close to the friendly farm animals and you will love being able to sit back and relax surrounded by amazing natural beauty.

The town of Pemberton in southwest Western Australia is in the heart of Karri country, named after the magnificent Karri tree, which is one of the largest trees in the world. Pemberton Farm Chalets, the 2008 winner of the national TakeABreak Award for best farmstay experience, is ideally located in a region of pristine old growth forests, rivers, mobile dune systems and secluded stretches of coastline.

The property offers a variety of accommodation options: two bedroom standard chalet (sleeps up to six), two-bedroom spa chalet (also sleeps six), the deluxe four-bedroom chalet (sleeps up to ten) and the luxurious four bedroom Brockman House (located off-site, ten minute walk).

All are fully self-contained, linen is provided and they are equipped with the essentials for a restful and memorable holiday. Each of the two bedroom chalets have a well equipped kitchen, CD player, TV/DVD, log fire, bathroom, BBQ and electric blankets for those chilly nights. The deluxe four bedroom chalets have all these features plus a dishwasher, DVD player, washing machine and spa. There are laundry facilities available, and cots and high chairs are available on request.
All the chalets feature a spectacular view over the Pemberton Valley, the best place in town to marvel at the rolling farmlands and the picturesque vineyards.

Pemberton Farm has fun for the whole family. The kids will have a ball playing in the children's adventure playground, swimming pool, on the trampoline or mucking around playing some tennis or basketball on the courts. A leisurely stroll through the forest to the famous Gloucester tree - a giant karri tree in the Gloucester National Park and the world's tallest fire-lookout tree (61ms)  - is always a fun outing for the family. Those brave enough can climb to a platform in its upper branches for a spectacular view of the surrounding karri forest.

A trip to the Gloucester Ridge Winery for a wine tasting is also an enjoyable experience, but without doubt the most fun will be getting up close and friendly with the farm animals during feeding time. Opportunities to feed, pat and even cuddle a wide variety of farm and domestic animals - including rabbits, guinea pigs, chooks, ducks, geese, calves, horses, sheep and the very popular pet kangaroo make Pemberton the ultimate family farmstay experience.
