What makes Rusellee different?
This is a B&B and more… there is a cottage, a studio, a unit and the B&B itself. All enjoy the spacious grounds and the peace and tranquillity of the bush surrounds – yet also have the convenience of being close to the snow and walking trails.
Accommodation overview
We stayed in the Rosella Suite, which sleeps four people. There is a king-size bed (can be set up as twins), as well as a double. The cottage ‘Kookaburra’ sleeps two, again with a king-size bed that can be used as two singles. The B&B also sleeps two, in the same configuration and the Blue Wren suite sleeps up to seven, with 2 queen-size beds, twins and a single.
Facilities overview
The large and tranquil grounds are perfect for contemplating the wonders of nature and enjoying the bird life. If you are feeling more active, then take advantage of the tennis courts, then relax on the deck afterwards to the sounds of the farm. Kids will love the chook run – a true farm experience! There is a large dog run to keep your furry friends happy. Each suite has an outdoor area with BBQ.
Location
About 2 hours from Canberra and you can reach Tumut either from the Hume Highway, through Gundagai or on the Snowy Mountains Highway through Cooma. The property is 5 minutes from Tumut.
Suitable for children? Yes – they will love the large grounds, fresh air and farm.
Suitable for pets? Yes – they are very welcome and well-behaved pets can stay inside. There is a large run, a caged area and an off leash dog reserve.
Wheelchair access? Yes – but check for your particular requirements when booking as some options, such as the Rosella Suite, are more suitable than others.
Perfect for?
Families wanting a farmstay experience close to the snow; extended families or groups wanting to holiday together but still with their own space and ideal for couples looking for a tranquil and romantic place to stay.
Why stay longer?
The clean country air and proximity to the snow and walking trails mean you wouldn’t run out of things to do. It is a beautiful area and around every turn of the road is a great view. Also, because your pet is with you – there is no need to hurry home to them.
Why you wouldn’t stay longer?
The only reason not to stay longer is commitments such as work, back in the real world.

In the Rosella Suite: $110 per night per 2 people, $35 per extra adult and $15 per extra child. $10 per animal
