Peace and quiet – and Hunter Valley wines!

Arriving at Twin Trees the first impression is of solitude and beauty.  The cottages are in the heart of the Hunter Valley, but feel quiet and peaceful.

Overall rating?                        Great

What makes Twin Trees Cottages different?

Your break away begins even before you leave home, as the communication from booking through to payment was excellent and left us in no doubt over the details of our accommodation and what we could do once we arrived.

There are a number of cottages on the property – but you feel like yours is the only one!

Accommodation overview

With a large courtyard ensuring your privacy from the other cottages, the outdoor deck and bush surroundings, you feel as though you are the only ones there.

The accommodation is suitable for up to 6 adults, with two queen rooms and a double sofa bed in the lounge room.  All linen is supplied and there are laundry facilities.

Facilities overview

There is a beautifully–maintained small freshwater pool, as well as a vineyard and olive grove and of course, the bush surrounds.  There is an overall feeling of space and quietness.

Twin Trees Cottages are self-contained, but a yummy breakfast basket (fresh, warm eggs!) is supplied, as is everything needed to cook either in the kitchen or on the barbecue.   For a quiet night in there are TVs, DVD and CD players and games, books and DVDs are all available from the office, as are provisions.  All cottages are air-conditioned and all have a gas log fire for a romantic winter night in.

There is a fully equipped business centre with internet access,

Location

Take the F3 from Sydney and after about 60 minutes take the Cessnock exit. Follow the signs to Pokolbin.

Suitable for children?  Yes.

Suitable for pets?        No

Wheelchair access?    No

Perfect for

Visiting the many and varied vineyards of the region, visiting the range of antique and curio shops and enjoying the delights of the restaurants and cafes.  When we stayed there was a concert at Tempus Two winery and it was amazing to hear INXS live with 10,000 other people at such an unusual venue.

Despite being in the heart of the wine country, Twin Trees leaves you feeling as though you are on your own, the Broke Road and all the delights of the region are within walking distance.

You also have your choice of ballooning, golf, mountain biking or Harley Davidson trikes or - for the less adventurous – a stroll through the magnificent Hunter Valley Gardens.

Why stay longer?

There are so many local restaurants and wineries that you would need much more time to enjoy them all.

Why you wouldn’t stay longer?

Not much in the way of nightlife other than restaurants, or you have had enough wine and need to go home to detox!

Prices

The total weekend tariff for 5 people was $790.00
