77 Sims Esplanade

Yorkeys Knob Beach, QLD

The apartment was perfect for our needs and has a peaceful ambience.  Close to the beach and with good eateries just down the road … all you need to get away from it all.

Overall rating?             Excellent

What makes Mediterranean Beachfront Apartments different?

These luxury apartments are large and well furnished and the location just over the road from the beach is really convenient.  Also just 15 minutes north of Cairns and a great base for exploring the wonders of the region.  Having an onsite manager means any problems are quickly sorted out and it is easy to get some ‘local knowledge’ to help you make the most of your stay.

Accommodation overview

Our apartment had a bedroom with a king-size bed, another with a queen-size bed and a single.  The main bedroom has an ensuite and a balcony overlooking the ocean, and there is another bathroom.  The second bedroom has a flexible configuration and can sleep up to 4 with the use of a rollout bed.

Facilities overview

Each unit has a laundry and dryer, as well as a clothes-drying rack.  The verandah overlooks the beach and has a BBQ, table and chairs – perfect for dining outside and enjoying the tropical weather.  The apartments are spacious, have ceiling fans and air-conditioning and plenty of room to relax, while the kitchen has everything you need to cater for a family - or there are good restaurants nearby.  The swimming pool is visible from the balcony, making it easy to keep an eye on older kids who may be swimming without adults.

Location

10-15 minutes north of Cairns on glorious Yorkeys Knob Beach.  Spend your days relaxing on the beach, or visit some of the superb sights in the Daintree Rainforest, Port Douglas and surrounding areas.

Suitable for children? Definitely

Suitable for pets? No

Wheelchair access? The ground floor unit may be suitable for wheelchair users who have assistance, please check for your requirements.

Perfect for?

Two couples or a family with up to 4 children.  It is brilliant to cook your own meat or seafood on the electric BBQ on the front verandah, while watching the kids in the pool.

Why stay longer?

The area abounds with things to do, and you want to alternate days playing golf or sightseeing with days of just wandering around the foreshore or enjoying the beach on your doorstep.  Yorkeys Knob is a tranquil and beautiful place that offers true relaxation.

Why you wouldn’t stay longer?

I can’t think of any reason to cut your trip short – you will leave wanting more!

Pricing

$195-255 per night (3 night minimum) but check the listing for rates and specials.
