Medieval Faire

'Ye Olde Medieval Faire' will be a perfect start to school holiday entertainment. At 12 noon the market sellers open a variety of stalls. Stroll through them until one o’clock when the all the fun of the faire begins. Kings, queens, maidens and knights, jesters, wizards and revelling villagers will see jousting contests, gladiator and obstacle courses, workshops making swords, shields and a castle playground. Have your fortune told, watch the blacksmith at work, try some juggling and enjoy a sumptuous evening feast. Rocky Barra Bounty celebrates its 12th year in 2010 and promises to be bigger and better than ever! It will be staged on the Rockhampton Fitzroy River and comprises of two full days of fishing followed by an awards presentation and celebratory dinner.This 70-team competition is based on the most metres of Barramundi tagged and released, to ensure minimum impact on fish stocks and to provide a chance to collect data about the fish in the river.The competition briefing will again take place on the Thursday evening, and the main events will be conducted on the Friday and Saturday.
