The Anston Apartments offer modern, fully-furnished self-catering apartments in Carlton on Melbourne’s doorstep. Open plan apartments, tasteful décor and furnishings make it an ideal place to chill out after shopping, attending a concert or sporting event.

It’s a good place to stay that is close to Carlton and the Melbourne CBD’s great shopping, food and wine, Federation Square, Melbourne Museum. The location is also just down the road from Melbourne and RMIT universities and a short tram ride to Southbank, Docklands or for those into sport, to the MCG or Telstra Dome.

Affordable, clean, secure and close to town. Perfect for businesspeople visiting or anyone wanting to be stay close to the CBD but within easy walking of Carlton’s wonderful cafes and restaurants. Popular with visitors and students.

Accommodation overview

The property comprises self-contained apartments. The single bedroom apartments have a galley kitchen, small living room with TV/DVD player, heater, desk and chair. The bedroom has an en-suite of loo, shower and basin.

Linen and towels are included but no electric blankets! However, the heater is very effective and there are extra blankets in the bedroom wardrobe.

The apartments are serviced weekly and a minimum 2 night stay applies.

Each apartment has a security phone for when your friends or family arrive to meet you,

The bathroom has a hairdryer and there are ironing facilities in the wardrobe.

The Anston Apartments has a NON-Smoking policy and state that cleaning fees apply to those not observing this policy.

Facilities Overview

The property has a guest lounge with big screen TV/DVD, courtyard garden area and BBQ facilities, on-site caretaker, 24 hour laundromat, 7 day reception, security building entrance, limited car parking, bike storage and tram and bus stop at the door.

The receptionist on the Sunday was very helpful and booked the reviewer a seat on the airport bus when she enquired about transport and the receptionist on the Monday happily stored the reviewers luggage (one large suitcase, two surfboards) while she was out and about.

Location

While there is a tram stop outside, it’s a mere five minute walk into town to Melbourne Central, the State Library and another couple of minutes to the temping shopping offered in the Bourke Street Mall.
