There's no need to dream about Cannes when film buffs can preview commercially unreleased Australian and foreign movies at the annual Halls Gap Film Festival set in the beautiful natural surroundings of the Grampians National Park. Films are from Australia, Germany, Ireland, Canada, United States and United Kingdom, some which will be shown for the first time in Australia, some for the first time in regional Victoria and others are straight out of major metropolitan film festivals. Patrons will have the opportunity to interact with two film directors attending the Festival including director of 'Indonesia Calling: Joris Ivens in Australia' John Hughes and Joel Anderson, who directed 'Lake Mungo', a movie shot near Ararat.
